Hamilton Parklands School is a special school that provides a targeted educational program for children with an intellectual disability.
To be eligible for enrolment all students must qualify for the Program for Students with a disability under the ID category and have a full scale IQ of less than 70.
Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement and transfer of students.

Documentation required:
- Evidence of identity and date of birth
- Immunisation Status Certificate (primary school age only)
- Supporting evidence regarding a diagnosis of intellectual disability
Please note that a physical disability, severe behaviour disability or autism spectrum disorder do not qualify for enrolment unless accompanied by a diagnosis of intellectual disability.
Eligible students can easily transfer from:-
- Victorian Government Schools upon meeting the PSD requirements
- Victorian Special Schools
Students transferring from an interstate school or the private school system will not automatically be funded under PSD. Please contact the school to begin the assessment process.
